LOUISIANA COASTAL MARSH

Tailing fish. Skinny water. The shot of a lifetime.

Louisiana's coastal marsh is one of fly fishing's great destinations. Red drum in the six-to-twelve-pound class push through inches of water on incoming tides, tailing and waking in ways that make even experienced anglers forget how to cast.

We guide these flats with a push pole and a skiff, reaching shallow water most motors can't touch. Fall and winter season.

Licensed guide. FFI certified. Two fisheries.

John MacMurray guides rivers and lakes across Greater Yellowstone from April through September, then moves to the Louisiana coastal marsh for redfish season. His clients come back — and many fish both.

His approach is simple: put people on fish, take care of the water, and let the experience speak for itself.
