SNAKE RIVER

Native Finespotted Cutthroat in Jackson Hole

The Snake River is best known for its native finespotted cutthroat trout and exceptional dry-fly fishing. These fish are built for a short growing season and are quick to take advantage of food on the surface, making the Snake one of the most enjoyable dry-fly rivers in the Greater Yellowstone region.

Big Dries & Opportunistic Trout

Large attractor patterns, stonefly imitations, and hoppers are staples on the Snake River. Prolific stonefly hatches and an opportunistic population of cutthroat create consistent chances to fish big dry flies, often producing the visual takes that define a day on this river.

Local Knowledge. A Guided Approach.

Guiding the Snake River season after season builds an understanding of where cutthroat hold as flows change, which stretches fish best under current conditions, and when to change patterns or presentation to keep fish looking up.

Every trip is tailored to current conditions and your goals as an angler.

June Runoff & Prime Summer Fishing

June is runoff month on the Snake River, when high, off-color water can limit productive fishing. As flows clear and settle, the river comes into shape for summer, with July through September offering the most dependable dry-fly fishing.
